Introduction

Oh hello! Can't believe somebody got lost here. It would be impolite to shoo you away, so I can as well introduce myself and what I have here.
My name is Jonas Neer, at least on this site. I started using RPG Maker MZ early spring 2023 and this project you see, is my debut as a game maker.
"Welcome to Sweet" is my training project to make myself comfortable with the engine. Honestly, it is a bit more than that. I don't like training for nothing, so I gave it a purpose.
"Welcome to Sweet" shall become a means to recruit and greet new players to my guild/clan/family, whatever you call it, of another game, I picked up a few years ago. Its second function is to amuse my friends, which I've spent so much time with. Finally I want to preserve my memories of them.
As you already guessed, this game is my purest expression of love.
For now it is an easygoing, cozy, feel-good comedy with a few minigames. I intend to evolve it to a true RPG in its final stage, but nothing is set in stone.
If you are here by invitation, why are you still reading? Just download, extract into an empty file and jump in. There is some rough language in it, but nothing you can't stomache; I hope. Go and play!
By now I should be talking with a RPGM-gourmet. How are you pixel-comrade? I don't know, if this game will scratch your itch. Should you need further details, I can give them.

The Story

You are a gamer, who got sent a mysterious link, which leads you to this page. This site gives you access to the MMORPG "Last imagination 14" short "LI14", a game only known as a myth in the gamerscene. The curiousity overwhelms you. You take the bait only to discover, that you are not a proper player - yet.

Graphics

The art used is mostly RTP, but I also used mixed style, edits and creations entirely of my own. I like the RTP-style and my skills in this field still needs polishing, also I felt RTP needed some love.

Music & Sounds

Music should be all RTP. A few sounds I made myself with audacity.

Plug-ins

Currently no plug-ins. I need to test out the limits first. I want to see how far I can go with eventing only. This way I'll get a better grasp for my needs in the future.
